Selene is very cold towards most other beings, be they human or not. She has spent her entire vampire existence blaming the lycanthropes, or werewolves, for the death of her family centuries ago. That hatred and rage she expels by killing any "lycan" she comes across, which garnered her a place in the vampires' "Death Dealer" squadron. She has little tolerance for the usual frivolities which the others in the coven indulge, preferring to spend her time hunting or testing weapons to be used in their never ending war with the werewolves. Although diligently pursued by Kraven, Selene disdains his advances, even slapping him away when he refuses to take no for an answer. With Michael, at first she is cold and businesslike, but eventually warms to him as the story progresses and she learns the truth about what truly happened to her family. She has a strong sense of justice and takes it very seriously, wanting to find the truth in any mystery she discovers. However, she is extremely loyal to those who gain her trust and confidence, willing to do whatever she can for those few individuals, as she was to Viktor, whom she believed saved her from the lycan slaughter the night her family was murdered. She doesn’t regret being a vampire; it's allowed her to live longer than a human, but she does not take human life unnecessarily. In contrast, her feeding victims are always willing, usually used only once then never contacted again, as she does not want to have complicated attachments. She did, however, form a heavy relationship with Micheal Corvin, suggesting she is not completely frigid and would enter into such a relationship with the "right" partner, more than likely one who knew of her vampirism and past history. | ||||

Powers: Enhanced strength, speed, agility, far above the human norms. Rapid healing, ability to hold her breath for long periods underwater, exceptional proficiency with weapons both modern and medieval. Can fall from great heights with ease and no injury.
